Club Aquathon Championship

Aileen Morrison was first out of the water with a blistering split of 6:31. Colm Quigley and Paul Mc Connellogue also posted sub 7 minute swims to lead the Men’s race on to the run course. Jonathan Kennedy, Paul Mc Cafferty and Jarath Fearon all posted excellent sub 12 minute run splits but were unable to catch Quigley, who finished in a time of 18:58. They did however manage to push Mc Connellogue down into fifth position. Morrison extended her lead over the Female race by posting the fastest run split to finish in 20 minutes exactly, nearly six and a half minutes ahead of the next female athlete Aoife Logan. Liza Jane Jorque was the third female home.
