Titanic Duathlon Series - Race 1

Campbell led the field into T1, but was caught on the Bike section by Crinion and Mark Dowling from Pulse/Dublin. Campbell regained the lead again shortly into the second run, and led home with nearly a minutes lead, finishing in 46mins 24secs.

Paul Mc Cafferty had an excellent race to finish in 5th place overall in a time of 49:29, considering he has only recently returned to running training due to injury. Colm Quigley also had a good race to take 6th place overall, 9 seconds behind Mc Cafferty. Chris Sandy had an unusual “off day” but still managed to finish in the top 20. Letterkenny AC’s Sean Mc Fadden also took the trip up to Belfast and finished in 9th position in 49 minutes 50 seconds.

The next race in the series takes place on Saturday the 5th of May.
